- Department of Education NI: Guidance for the use of Salbutamol Inhalers in School.
- Department of Education NI: Guidance on the use of Adrenaline Auto-injectors (AAIs) in Schools in Northern Ireland: An addendum to Supporting Pupils with Medication Needs (2008).
- Regional Integrated Support Education Team (RISE NI): Website for parents and carers of children in mainstream nursery and primary school (up to P4). Includes information leaflet, suggested activities/resources and parent training videos to promote development of speech and language, fine and gross motor skills, and social and emotional development. RISE NI also provide information for teachers.
- Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership: A Guide to Help Parents on Their Journey Through Disability/Additional Needs: This resource, created by parents for parents, addresses the whole life journey for parents of children with disability and additional needs. It is a live document which will be updated as new resources are developed.

- The Public Health Agency has produced a video on recognising the symptoms of Type 1 diabetes.
- What Diabetes Care to Expect in Schools – Booklet
- The Diabetes website is a video platform and social enterprise created in partnership with the Diabetes Team at Leeds Teaching Hospital. There are dedicated videos for school staff and parents/carers. There are sections on emotional wellbeing and a Goals of Diabetes resource page. It is available at www.digibete.org
- Diabetes UK website has a selection of resources relevant to children, parents, and schools.
- Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation has a selection of resources relevant to children, parents, and schools. They also offer a free online training module for schools.
- Diabetes Awareness for School Staff.
Asthma
- Asthma UK website has a selection of resources of relevance to schools and parents.
- Department of Education: Guidance for the use of Salbutamol Inhalers in School.
Allergies and Anaphylaxis Resources
- Allergy UK website provides useful resources in relation to the management of allergies in school. There is a dedicated section for schools and a self-audit toolkit for post-primary schools.
- The Anaphylaxis UK website has useful resources and guidance documents. There is also links to additional training that schools may wish to purchase.

- Resources relating to bladder and bowel continence can be found on the Bladder and Bowel UK website and ERIC website.
Eating, Drinking and Swallowing
The Department of Education NI website under Physical Needs section provides eating, drinking and swallowing awareness training for school staff.
Cystic Fibrosis
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust website has a selection of resources of relevance to children and young people, schools and parents.
Cystic fibrosis information for teachers will provide evidence based advice, factsheets and video resources.
Rare Disease
The Rare Disease Partnership NI website provides information, support, guidance and signposting for individuals living or working with a rare condition in NI.
Tourette’s
Tourette’s Support NI and ROI website offer families regular support meetings, training services, awareness and education campaigns and a range of activities for children with Tourette's and their friends.
Tourettes Action website offers eLearning modules raising awareness and understanding of Tourette’s.
